Welcome to our website! Tsunami Orphans Foundation was created in 2004 to help the children who became orphans due to the Tsunami in december 2004 boxing day. At the moment we take care of 1118 children. Taking care of one child costs € 35,- a month. It will not be possible for us to do this without your generous help. Please help these children!

The impact of the tsunami

As a result of the Tsunami on the 26th of december 2004 the following took place in Sri Lanka:

  • the deathtoll is above 100.000;
  • over 500.000 wounded;
  • more than 2.000.000 homeless;
  • over 10.000 children have become orphans;
  • devastated infrastructure
